Originally from the town of Peñaparda (Sierra de Gata south of Salamanca, Spain).
This tambourine is played using the hand that holds it by the handle and a wooden baton in the other.
Manufactured in the traditional way by craftsmen. Beech wood frame and a single hand-sewn goat skin.

Around this instrument is celebrated each year in August the "Feast of the Pandero", with which it aims to promote the rich local folklore and promote the historical heritage. Maintaining this tambourine as a distinctive feature of this town.
